The ASCIS Staff and Students offer the DeMarco Family our sincerest sympathy and heartfelt prayers for the loss of their dear relative, Dr. Frank De Marco Sr.
He was the grandfather of our 3 graduates Frank Jr., Andrew and Kristen DeMarco.
Dr. Frank Sr. was a fine gentleman, one who was respected and admired for being true to his God, family, friends and patients: he will be forever remembered fondly. May he now enjoy the eternal glory which he so deserves!
The Dr. Frank Demarco Sr. Memorial Fund is being established in his loving memory. Donations made payable to Académie Ste Cécile International School (or “ASCIS”), a not-for-profit charitable organization, are gratefully acknowledged with a charitable receipt.

Dear Families of ASCIS!
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of two members of Miss Gadoury’s family on Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Both passed away within three hours of each other.
Miss Gadoury’s sister-in-law, Mrs. Monique Gadoury, wife of Mr. Michel Gadoury, a former ASCIS French teacher, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in Windsor, Ontario. Mrs. Gadoury’s funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from the Families First Funeral Home (1065 Lauzon Road East) to Paroisse St. Jerome for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.
Her adopted brother, Mr. Jacques Valliere passed away in Montreal, Quebec three hours before. Mr. Valliere’s funeral will take place Monday in Montreal.
Charitable tax receipts will be issued for those wishing to make a memorial donation to the Gadoury Education Bursary Fund or the Valliere Memorial Education Fund.

Ste. Cecile defeated UMEI in a come-from-behind 35-25 victory Wednesday in WECSSAA Tier III senior girls basketball. Megan Annisette scored 11 points and Lisa Hamilton had 10 points for the Spirit (3-1), who opened the fourth quarter down five points.
