Spirit Sports Development CampsThese development camps are so named because the total emphasis of the camp programs is on the development of skills in the various sports. There are no games nor competition. Each participant is permitted, and urged, to improve at a rate that is consistent with his/her abilities and desires. With the younger age levels, the aim is of the program is to prepare the young athlete for a successful elementary and high school playing experience. In the ‘ELITE’ camps, the program is more intense and is designed for those who wish to play senior high school sports and beyond. Volleyball Academy
The program is for both boys and girls ages 10 to 14 and will run from 8:30am - 4:30pm daily. The fee includes a personal volleyball, a shirt and a lunch each day. Coach Tom McNorton will direct the academy which will be limited to 24 candidates. Soccer Academy
The program is for both boys and girls ages 10 to 15 and will run from 8:30am - 4:30pm daily. The fee includes a personal soccer ball, a shirt, and a daily lunch. ASCIS Coaches will direct the academy. Basketball Academy
This basketball academy is directed towards both boys and girls, ages 10 to 15, who wish to learn and improve their basketball skills in a learning environment. The daily sessions will run from 8:30am - 4:30pm with a one-hour noon time break for lunch. Basically the morning sessions consist of instruction, and the afternoon sessions allow the participants to practice the teachings from the morning sessions under the guidance of the coaches. The academy is under the direction of basketball hall of famer, Paul "Doc" Thomas, who is an experienced coach and teacher. Included on the staff are other ASCIS basketball coaches who are outstanding teachers of the game. The fee includes a personal basketball, a mesh tank top, as well as lunch.If necessary, arrangements for early drop and/or late pick-up can be made.
